Mission

Australian Tarmac Rally (ATR) temporarily closes public roads during its events to ensure the safety of both participants and the general public.

Recognised by the Department of Transport (DTP) & Victoria Police to conduct closed-road events throughout the state, ATR coordinates these closures in consultation with VicRoads, governing departments, relevant shires, emergency services, and traffic management experts to minimise disruption.

Extensive safety management plans are implemented, including marshals, signage, and restricted access zones, to mitigate risk and enable rapid response if required.

ATR understands that these road closures may cause inconvenience and sincerely appreciates the cooperation of the community.

By closing public roads, ATR provides a controlled, professional motorsport environment while prioritising the well-being of all involved.

THESE CLOSURES HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY ALL RELEVANT AUTHORITIES TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF COMPETITORS, OFFICIALS, AND THE PUBLIC.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE AREA DURING THESE TIMES, PLEASE PLAN AHEAD AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR ALTERNATIVE ROUTES.

WE APPRECIATE THE COMMUNITY’S SUPPORT AS WE BRING THIS EXCITING NEW MOTORSPORT EVENT TO THE REGION.
