Cars in this class compete under a speed-limited format, with a maximum speed of 130km/h. Crews are released at 30-second intervals, giving participants a true taste of rally competition while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Vehicle Requirements

• All vehicles must be registered for use on public roads or operate under vehicle permits as permitted by AASA regulations.

• Cars must be fitted with a minimum of an AASA-approved half safety cage.

• Mandatory equipment includes helmets, frontal head restraints (FHR), and harnesses, all compliant with ATR technical regulations.

• Vehicles must be fitted with a RallySafe Safety Awareness System, which is a compulsory inclusion in this category.

Crew Requirements

• Each car must carry two occupants (driver and co-driver).

• Crews must wear approved apparel in line with AASA Tarmac Rally specifications – including fire-retardant clothing from neck to wrist to ankle, plus suitable footwear.

• Drivers must hold a current civil licence and an AASA National Race Licence, and demonstrate to organisers that they have the necessary motorsport experience and competence to participate safely at this level.
