MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ATR

As we approach the end of 2023, it's clear that this year has been full of surprises. Despite the challenges our industry faced, the 'Australian Tarmac Rally' brand managed to successfully deliver and complete four events for the first time.

We are proud to announce that a total of 227 teams participated in our four top-notch rallies, including the Mt Baw Baw Sprint, Lake Mountain Sprint, Snowy River Sprint, and The Great Tarmac Rally.

A special thank you goes to the hard work of over 270 officials, who were able to deliver these events with unmatched professionalism.

ATR had an outstanding year and the numbers speak for themselves:

  • Our Facebook posts reached over 270,000 people.

  • We welcomed over 20,000 new visitors to our website.

  • 49 teams out of 227 completed their first ATR event.

  • 60% of our teams travelled from interstate to compete.

We don't plan on changing much for 2024. Why fix something that isn't broken? We will maintain our high level of professionalism, deliver events in our unique style, and keep our focus on our competitors, officials, and supporters.

Our new technical regulations will be released in January. We can confidently say that no significant changes to vehicles will be required. The category previously known as 'Classic Modified' has been renamed to 'Classic Super Rally', and it will follow the same regulations as the category previously known as 'Super Rally', which has been renamed to 'Modern Super Rally'.

The launch of our new portal has been postponed until January to ensure that we deliver a flawless product. In the meantime, entry applications can still be submitted through our original portal here.

We have had a hectic year, with a lot of activity behind the scenes. We received many supportive and helpful emails from both new and existing competitors, which helped us grow. Pam has stepped away from ATR, and Britt has taken on the role of Sole Director. We also hired our first employee, Beth, and set up our official office in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

While we cannot predict the future, we are excited to see what 2024 will bring. Yes, this is short and sharp! We will keep the waffle for others to do.

We wish everyone a joyous and safe Christmas and New Year, see you next year - somewhere!
