The long-awaited Mt Buller Sprint roars back to life this weekend, as one of Australia’s most iconic tarmac rally events makes its triumphant return under the Australian Tarmac Rally banner. Sanctioned by the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA), the event will see competitors tackle the challenging ascent from Mirimbah Park to the summit of Mt Buller across three days of high-speed action and intense competition.

Returning to its original hill-climb format, the Mt Buller Sprint combines breathtaking alpine scenery with closed-road competition, offering crews and spectators an unforgettable motorsport experience. The weekend’s schedule includes shakedown runs on Friday afternoon, multiple timed stages on Saturday and Sunday, and culminates with the official trophy presentation at Mirimbah Park on Sunday afternoon.
The 2026 entry list features a diverse and talented field of competitors across multiple categories, showcasing a wide range of rally machinery and driving talent. The event has attracted full competition vehicles only, reflecting its status as a premier hill-climb round.
