The Great Tarmac Rally event is often hailed as the pinnacle of tarmac rallying, and competitors are eagerly anticipating the challenge of its 260 competitive kilometres, which many consider to be among the most demanding they’ve ever tackled.

This year, participants will kick off the rally with an exciting twist heading out via Buxton and Taggerty to conquer the popular Eildon-Jamieson Road, with over 110 competitive kilometres and six stages.

The Sunday will now see crews take off from Marysville and then navigate through scenic Cambarville and Cumberland Junction, leading to the highly acclaimed Reefton Spur stage. With an impressive 95% corner ratio across its 37km stretch, this road offers breathtaking views of The Upper Yarra Catchment Basin, all while winding through lush alpine forest.

An impressive 72% of this event is competitive, with only 98 kilometres designated for touring.
