Today marks a major milestone for Australian Tarmac Rally as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the brand’s rebirth — a journey that began with the acquisition of the event series from Mountain Motorsports, and a clear, singular vision: to make tarmac rally genuine again.
Proudly operated as a true small family business, Australian Tarmac Rally has always placed people ahead of politics, focusing on building a strong, honest, and welcoming rally family.
A competitor-driven sport, without hidden meanings — just real motorsport, run with passion and integrity.
Since our inception, the road has not always been smooth. Like all motorsport organisations, we faced unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including lockdowns, cancellations, and navigating the toughest period our sport has ever endured.
Yet, through resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to our competitors and community, Australian Tarmac Rally has proudly hosted 12 successful events over the past five years.
"What we've built is a testament to the people who believed in the mission from the beginning," said Brittany Wilson, Director of ATR. "Tarmac rallying is about passion, integrity, and community — and we remain fiercely dedicated to preserving these values in every event we run."
As we celebrate this anniversary, we reflect with pride on how far we have come and look ahead with even greater excitement and growth to the future of the Australian Tarmac Rally.
Our commitment remains stronger than ever: delivering safe, competitive, and truly honest tarmac rally experiences.
We would like to sincerely thank our partners for sticking by us — Australian Auto Sport Alliance, Event Solutions, RallySafe & Angryman Photography — for their support and professionalism, and the many councils and government departments who have worked with us to make our events possible. Special thanks also to the communities of Lakes Entrance, Buchan, Marysville, Eildon, Mt Baw Baw, and Lake Mountain, whose warm hospitality and incredible landscapes have formed the heart of our rallies.
Here’s to the next five years and beyond.
